FLEAS
If we find fleas on your dog, we will automatically give your dog a flea bath to remove all adult fleas and their eggs. If this is unexpected, we will call you immediately so you can clean and exterminate your home, yard, vehicle, and any other place your dog inhabits. There will be an additional charge for treating the fleas. This cost covers the special flea shampoo, extra time to remove the fleas from your dog, and extra clean-up to ensure no fleas are active on your dog or in our salon.
*Please note that your dog WILL leave here flea-free, but flea shampoo only kills the fleas and eggs that are on your pet at the time of the bath. The flea shampoo will not protect your pet from getting fleas again once they leave our salon. The Soggie Doggie will not be held responsible for any fleas found on your dog once they walk out our door.
TIMELY DROP OFF / PROMPT PICK UP
We require that you be on time for your appointments. We cannot take you earlier than your scheduled appointment time. If you show up early, you will be asked to wait in your car until your appointment. If you are running late, please call to let us know so we can be sure that we still have time to accommodate your dog without disruption to the rest of our schedule. (Late Fees and/or Missed Appointment Fees may be applied.)
We require prompt pickups when your dog is finished. We will give you an approximate time that your dog will be ready at your drop off and we will call or text when your dog's groom is complete. We are not a daycare. Please be respectful of our time as we have personal schedules to stick to also. If you are not timely picking up your dog, Late Pick Up Fees may be applied.

MATTED COAT
If your dog's coat has been neglected to the point of severe matting, we will need to shave them down. This process is time consuming and takes delicate work to remove the matted coat from your pet safely. There will be an additional charge for removing severely matted coat. This cost will vary depending on your dog's breed, the severity of the matting, how long it takes us to safely remove the pelted coat, etc. The additional charge includes any and all bathing products used to soothe and re-condition your pet's skin and coat.
The Soggie Doggie will not be held responsible for any underlying problems that may be uncovered on a badly matted or otherwise neglected coat. Nor will The Soggie Doggie be responsible for any post-grooming effects of the de-matting/shave down procedure (itchiness, scratching, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations/abrasions from excessive external rubbing, etc.). However, please do call us immediately if any of this occurs so we can help determine if your dog requires any additional service with us or a veterinarian.
VACCINE REQUIREMENTS
If your dog is six months or older, we require that you provide us with proof of a rabies vaccine. You can either email us the rabies certificate or show it to us at your appointment time. We do not accept a town dog license as proof of vaccine.
If your dog is a puppy, we require that they have three rounds of their puppy vaccines (DHPP). We do not require the rabies vaccine until your puppy is six months old.
If your dog has a medical condition that makes them exempt from having the rabies vaccine, we will accept a note from your veterinarian in place of the certificate.
If you are a new client and you show up to your first appointment without a valid rabies certificate or with an expired certificate, you will be turned away and you will not be refunded for your appointment. Please do not schedule your appointment if you do not have a valid rabies certificate for your dog, or if you are unsure whether or not it has expired.
ACCEPTED FORMS OF PAYMENT
We are CASH or CHECK only.
*Any returned/bounced checks will result in a $20 additional fee.
CANCELLATIONS / MISSED APPOINTMENTS / LATE DROP OFF / RESCHEDULING
If you need to cancel or reschedule your dog's appointment, we require 24 hours/one business day notice via a phone call. Keep in mind that we are closed on Sundays and Mondays. This means that if your appointment is on Tuesday at 8:00am, we need to be notified by Saturday at 8:00am or else you will be charged the full amount of your groom.
If you do not show up for a scheduled appointment, you will be charged a missed appointment fee. This charge is the full amount of your groom. Any pre-booked appointments will be removed from the schedule if you miss and/or cancel two consecutive appointments.
If you are running late for an appointment, please call us. If we are able to still take your dog, you will be required to pay a late fee. If we do not have time to groom your dog due to your tardiness, you will be rescheduled and a missed appointment fee will be applied.
For Holiday appointments (the two weeks before Thanksgiving and Christmas) and Zoom Groom appointments, we require 48 hours/two business days notice (via a phone call) for any cancellations or reschedules. Keep in mind that we are closed on Sundays and Mondays. This means that if your appointment is on Tuesday at 8:00am, we need to be notified by Friday at 8:00am or else you will be charged the full amount of your groom.
